Eron and I were married in July, 2007, and knew we wanted to get started on our family pretty quickly. Things were not easy for us with our attempts to get Baby Linn, but we now have a beautiful baby boy!Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.comBlogger21125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-66530072311600882312009-08-04T18:07:00.000-07:002009-08-07T09:18:40.253-07:00No ExcusesWell, I have zero excuses for not posting in so long, so I won't even try to pretend. A lot has happened since my last post. Everett has two teeth in, and 3 that I can feel (and kinda see) working their way into his mouth. He has become very "busy". He can go from lying on his tummy to sitting all on his own, pull up and cruise around his crib, and anything else he can find. He attempts crawling, but ends up getting mad, so he just inches around and rolls until he gets where he wants. He can make it all the way across a room using this method! Apparently, I did the very same thing, and never actually crawled, and was walking at 9 months. We will see if he does that, too. I am not sure if I am ready for him to walk that early, though. Yes, I know people used to think that something was seriously wrong with children who skip crawling, but that has since been disproved...He also babbles to his toys and to us and mostly says "D" sounds, dadadadad. He thinks he is funny and laughs at himself a lot.
Everett and I also went to Houston for a week to meet people he had never met before and just to visit family and friends. It was a WONDERFUL time. We went to the beach, ate yummy food, saw so many fun friends and had a great time with my family.
I will be posting LOTS of pictures, but they will probably post out of order like they usually do since I am no expert on how to use this blog.
We have been on play dates and been swimming this summer, and even bathing with no tub seat. Everett likes to fake swim in the tub now, and also likes to try to catch the water as it comes out of the faucet or up from the pool spouts.
We are still enjoying him more and more everyday. I also LOVE being at home and being "employed" by my son and husband :)

PS...No pictures this time. I have been trying for 3 days and cannot get them to upload. There are mostly all on Facebook anyway. Sorry!Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-52286982854993441702009-06-18T14:51:00.000-07:002009-06-18T15:03:18.141-07:00A House Divided!This week the Astros and the Rangers have been playing a series for the last time this season. Unfortunately for me, the Stros have not done so well against the Rangers this year. Of course, we have traded outfits for Everett every other game. Here are a few photos of him in his gear.
Also, I went ahead and added a photo of him in his Texas Tech jersey. Can anyone tell we like sports?
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj92ivM48unuk7b7sKDD5LImujyfZhQVAJqDuXlsyzhlDSn8d57zPm2el2hctEiOPz9o77jl5P2nW3h1vrT5t3YlsORcEy_V-bx6-l4Jahjrvv9nyDOW7goiPh2F5KlQ5AVRwfvXP1OJ4R9/s200/011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348790562480519842" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsRGgmgjVTrzWog_Hn2vykw2pDt19RHj-pZEHW1YfsLszP-qc6-KLIj7LM_c93ZPfEVgZ-PnKckrNzefqojFC5hQHkJMKhG8rWPEVMzJNcUriGBFvC04EyXs6B8cbMp1OVjLHeoVTNleOH/s200/010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348790560573481314" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIW7mNXkesb4QplEpoX54UU6JPBoc15ALW6__blpm0YnKVcADKX9FzZQFHWCG5z67smHeXNTsefgdB2OavRbeeT1BiPhNvzPlTWmjWcptjRDY8s5Uvhns-Fz55mKRn5hzVrfrs284vTOE8/s200/005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348790551583769026" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiscc3cc1jByRkXMA5VgLmFpb4KMlgSHVVGzokqlMYNHAf2c36xLsfYFZT3Mxrak2k9vIxuYzOX8DiA0obTuf2w_T0SQBBP5TltzlSX_66ABT1TE7eeckBvXsXcCTjr3C234DRiAXL_yH2t/s200/003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348790547183374418" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-55596662637698440732009-06-17T09:24:00.000-07:002009-06-17T09:27:20.454-07:00GOODBYE WORK!!!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkvdFP1a4mxJ8lbQ5y95RJlX9YCyuMjc0R3wOZg_Om00f36sigJpY6XrFmPLBFE5COlOjB9l1aQVxmgGhUSaWoSG46UQHkNOhOVahkBZY0ZTwkp-s-960v6hyA02pbd6qih4evTkTHWU4E/s200/0617091121a%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348333862533789330" />
To day is the last day I will walk into the office and see this on the wall! I will never forget that day. It was so fun to tell them and I still get excited when I think about it!
Here is a sonogram picture taken June 12, 2008. Our sweet baby sure sure looks different now! The picture is hard to see, but you get the idea.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkuAMh1iGZcVrhEHrbpSNEcj0MSRyBulLQMlbXe_JvGYr0zqIh7OORsEV66aWw0QEfMjn4OFrsNljVXHsV8RfHtak2MStGXOtg2u5ZGwfMhssWdJ8-qtOZzvsGBtlve_GLKgANDZEKFMDy/s200/0612081954a%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5346450420022428786" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-88584424373748970122009-06-02T18:19:00.001-07:002009-06-03T06:55:14.020-07:00Fun ThingsWe have been having a lot of fun with Everett. I always think that I cannot possibly enjoy him anymore, and then I do! Lately he has been trying to sit up. We are getting there, but he can only sit about 30 seconds to a minute before falling to the right side. I did get some pictures of him sitting up, though! He LOVES to look at Samson. He smiles and laughs at him all the time.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgblW0j9VOwqLA0Nju2yEnfl0LA2J6Pmb0T3xGdytthuLqqxbk214LTtKJk5P2ahR6YmPwm6o7pyDIT9Ff_DeHZurgT1bBJzAphkvwESVya1EtJjwu7GPZZ2WXbiJ0GUpSGLHk_Q39ixD7y/s200/021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342905785629825890" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr09r17R23rFCjejSS3RWC40_hOwvGwY_KiAKbyDZyqZ9EwHJS50BoNdztroxjzHU6bKSLvU3W9XhytlMDbRhx1JHP4HsVo_E7ejPc77oCBDhJf9FgTt-sJ9fIbzLC7T90SkNmmt8gmtCl/s200/022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342905784953929586" />

Also, we had a good time Memorial weekend with my cousins and their families. I have attached some shots of that, too. Can you tell that it was the BOYS who did not want to cooperate with the picture taking? Of course! My mom came to town to celebrate with me, and I really enjoyed our time together.
Eron and Everett gave me roses and really sweet cards, and my mom gave me a James Avery charm in the shape of a heart with "MOMMY" in the center.
Eron made me, my mom, and his mom a delicious brunch of omelets, skillet potatoes, and toast. I could eat it all again right now. Thank you Eron for making my day so nice.
It was just a special day all together. I was sad to take my mom back to the airport, though.
Everett had a pediatrician appointment this morning for a follow up shot. He only yelled a little bit. Poor thing. I really hate having to hold down his arms while he gets a shot. He now weighs 17 pounds and 3 ounces. He is definitely not breaking stride on the growth! I hope that all of the moms out there had a GREAT Mother's Day!!!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-SFlMwi-l9mZ98CFAUGfiFLAlep1PAbk6EM95eUezUc8jqEWqDwE2hPc2r-wKZAyFUOGCLpmA7Dd58wGHLuvCqvoO5iV7GmnNVH2iWv9dCxqMr6z2ycKAr4k_cZrsPA-Zq2w4t9I7t4wC/s200/everett3%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334626220324704866" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-91209218210391993542009-05-06T18:41:00.001-07:002009-05-06T18:54:17.098-07:00Rolling OverYep, Everett is rolling over, and can get himself in a push-up position (he has done that for a while). He is getting to be more and more like a real person everyday.
We enjoy him SO MUCH!!! I have added a couple of random pictures again. The other little boy in the picture with Everett is my cousin Christin's youngest son, Monty...
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEUO7y_yD29sHmG9ZPj9N7xHqUAj_DpvseDaaGa2z3Cd7hSbgmjYpB731DoUgur7_YHFizd0XxVeEeQZOdBx-O-dOBT3936iE60xgOJoQxfYMyRtRQrYIvTyheW5iTbC5VXIMQC-HpkFzU/s200/imagejpeg_2_2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332893830899441362" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSe7MRhbA2lbrIfyAUjXh93AtFcjvPuHiGLEi0kWyOKM9yP3CSy67m2jUZrFah2sMk_Fq7C6vYY1J6PFbTFqTC1s_XZgAkalLIpNXMOzNW7YjUL2rsewOGtgn538Q6fV4QSHb5Z6tBb72S/s200/005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332893833905466258" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXDuH70RF-_CdKI-vyYxOPP6c1stqEBc76ZH7TssHG1ibBuS1oAkAJIhtxxOatiY-gh47Dwmg7K7YaY03vDoiTgZVu6L_5aRSOP2v8FmfRxOiUX6XHnBsW5lfpBEXq3lHUd1ithfQIYHfL/s200/004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332893826630184674" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2AwhM3IuMTI89__sui4xU40sg1SOdE4Xc2KbtyYVZ5PrGNkYFJG87Spm9MGKBlZ2cfHxHtPsP9zSrj1WE_kY3fEExed0DWM3OL0Hql7o_tfqpF_nhwuV-uyjVHfcAkrW3r4MlZFDQxLR-/s200/006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332893820000320274" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-57395849031986409862009-04-30T14:19:00.000-07:002009-04-30T14:34:28.011-07:00Cute PicturesNo real updates, but I wanted to post a couple of pics of Everett. These were taken by our friend Emily who watches him on Wednesday and Friday while I am at work.
He is growing up so fast!
I just love his crazy look in the last one!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij4SkeG-ES4LjvonEly95yI4EDds07z_RHgDpHbvLTbJpXmG3uiBoxaF8H7LvBRt5cKeTzg2c2uznZIYPe57676qShsg7zlGv9NmfiYVMt-Q58JChGKaU9o55itEOHT5o_LadlsoWIeS5W/s200/everett+015.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330598565563212482" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPP5cOvF4GNwhxtFFWQqjznrDhmQSlUzHFkN2wzJ5IaX8-5A3zOPz_ZtCOWQ8gheJma1Nj4zukVKgqYBmKCn1k9HTECLoQ31UO04nUetAFnkzD1GMfddhAouKSvOGw3qNHvb9BlkWk62s_/s200/April09+027.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330598568693816834" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEURY5ZGDOGjKCbJEqLiRBuVJ9062VjIkTVKAkh7BEwmW763O8JJTNyVn3DnYAcfOhaGSUvS8zfskLd5hwk5Qrn5bgN8Ih95cfZCt6xYOh9PLTRUQYXGeO2R-a8lb9iCsWI_N_CFzzBNix/s200/everett+010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330598562882549074" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-BSRja801flmkwFHsBBY-5ePpdMDlFQMTjSPjjY2Yq3nnky5Izn2whX6SAKplv6yIkdXuYz1D3sWLpVkOjc5x7se1Xba9krfs1Crh-dGIPBIj9rHAFfhB7lWtNUDg-_p3bcl2Kwq11fUg/s200/everett+006.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330598561447388050" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-21851948091157880272009-04-22T09:33:00.000-07:002009-04-22T09:36:46.799-07:003 Month UpdateNo pictures this time...I promise I will do that soon! I just wanted to send the 3 month updates. At Everett's pediatrician appointment on Monday, he weiged 15 pounds, 12 ozs and was 25 and 1/4 inches long.
That means that he has gained 6 pounds 4 ozs and 5 inches since he was born! He is determined to be a monster!
He has started smiling all the time, turns his head easily all the time, coos, giggles, "talks", tries to sit up and is just very entertaining in general.
Hopefully I will have pictures put up within the next few days...Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-16433703905155507352009-04-03T14:57:00.000-07:002009-04-03T15:06:20.681-07:00First Smile on CameraRight after I posted last time, we were able to catch Everett smiling for the camera!!!
I added the two best ones for you all to see.
He is doing well after battling some pretty bad allergies and seems to be my happy baby again!
Tuesday at the doctor he weighed in at 14 lbs 6 ozs and is 23 inches. No wonder he eats alot!!! Enjoy the pics. Of course, I have not been able to capture him doing this on camera, but will continue to try.
My least favorite is the ear infection that he got at 5 weeks old. Yuck. Poor little thing. And he has allergies. Also not one of my favorite things, but it may bother me more than him.
All in all Everett is a great baby. He does not cry much and will generally sleep at night except to wake up to eat. He is the most fussy when he is overtired and fights sleep like a toddler. But eventually he goes to sleep and all is happy again.
At his last doctors appt last week, Everett weighed 13 pounds, 3 ozs and was 21 inches long. STILL a bog boy!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.
<img style="float:left; He weighed 9 pounds, 8 ozs and was 20 and a half inches long. What a BIG boy. So far so good! He LOVES to eat...Imagine that! I am truly exhausted but wanted to go ahead and post the pictures tonight. We are totally enamored with our precious baby. I am only posting a few pictures tonight but will do a better job when I am not as "new" at being a mommy.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-69314913198750364592009-01-19T16:56:00.000-08:002009-01-19T17:34:12.517-08:00Tomorrow is the Big Day!!!Well, today's check up brought us quite a surprise! The Dr. told me I was still not dilated, and then started to ask us some pretty odd questios, so I knew somethig was going on. Apparently my body is not cooperating. It seems that no matter what route we take, I am a strong candidate for c-section. Even if we tried to do child birth naturally, the Dr. feels strongly that my delivery will end in c-section. At my prior visits he wanted to wait to see if anything would change in hopes that we could do a natural child birth, but at this point he does not see any way around it. Also, he RARELY will even suggest this option, so we feel confident that this is the right thing to do.
Pray for us! We arrrive at 5:30 in the morning, and wil have the surgery at 7:30 AM. So, Baby Linn will be here around 7:45. We cannot believe that this time tomorrow we will be parents!
We would like to have visitors starting Wednesday. One of us will send out a text message announcing Baby Linn's gender, weight, height and name!!! Stay tuned....Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-33662176700767365132009-01-12T11:45:00.000-08:002009-01-12T12:01:33.952-08:00I am Going to be Pregnant Forever!Well, we just had our weekly check-up and I have not dilated AT ALL. I am effaced but nothing on the dilation. So, next week I go back and hope that I have made some progress!
The sonogram tech said the weight looked to be around 9 pounds 7 ozs. The Dr. said he guessed 8 and a half!!! Wow! So I guess somewhere in the middle is the weight.
Eron took this picture of me last night. 38 weeks 1 day.....Can my skin stretch anymore? Yikes!!!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0C2VRuqKNqSPUmYwlAp8c2odjWaK0nWmoCn52aqmTCfZdKkbYeqiEXZqcAXBNBzOkznpCXYS0Ti7_c7RCXoGPT65GrkTQ_aq8Trsf_jbCwqctBJAqoc0L9J_jHRvoZ68BnZLdg1mtaLw7/s200/38wks1day.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290497983761818098" />
I still have not gained any weight at all in 5 weeks. Crazy that somehow the baby gains weight, yet the scale stays the same for me. Maybe that is why I am so tired??? I guess I am getting what is owed to me. My poor mom carried me for 42 weeks and then they had to force me out. I guess, our baby is just content in there. At least we know that the baby is healthy and seems to be happy, which is our ultimate hope. I will make sure to update next week after my appointment and of course sooner if anything happens.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-5300036434281156282009-01-07T08:48:00.000-08:002009-01-07T08:54:53.715-08:00Guess Baby L StatsWe thought it would be fun to have anyone who is interested play this game to guess Baby Linn's stats. I have already guessed, and NO, I don't know ANY of the answers. If I did, that would ruin the game!
Just click on this link to participate and then click on Enter a Guess! Thanks for playing
By the way, I did steal this idea from my friend, Wendy Q. Seriously, are we almost done with this?"

I read this in one of my many pregnancy emails I get, and thought it was hilarious AND appropriate. This is so true of the very late stages of pregnancy.

I had yet another weekly check up yesterday, and all is well. The sonogram looked great as far as Baby Linn's health and physical activity.
I was SO hoping that I had dilated some, anything at all, but NO. I have effaced to 60%, so that is good that I have at least SOME progress. We are both getting very excited to meet this baby and are glad that the baby is healthy and all has been well with this pregnancy so far. I will update again after my appointment next Monday. Please keep us in your prayers that all continues to go smoothly.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-38392924657790029982008-12-31T10:19:00.000-08:002008-12-31T11:00:31.563-08:00Big Belly!I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with many blessings. Ours was relaxing and just right.
I had another weekly check up on Monday to see what was going on with the baby and me. My mom and sister were in town, so they were able to go and see the sonogram. The tech said that her guess was that the baby was 8 lbs 6 ozs. After the sonogram, I saw my Dr. The report from his exam is that I am not dilated at all, but that is normal with a first pregnancy at 36 weeks. Also, he said he thinks the baby is only at 7 lbs 10 ozs. This is quite a relief, but he said to still expect and 8 and a half to 9 pounder! In addition, he explained why the sonograms can be so far off. Something about the fact that the measurements that are used to determine size are based off of sonograms in Denver. Becuase there is less oxygen there, it throws off the measurments here. Weird, and I don't quite understand that, but I will take it!
He also said that his estimates are typically within 4 ozs of being correct!

Several of you have asked to see some belly shots, so I will start out with the first one I took and go from there. Please dont look at ME in the last one, just the belly. We took that one when I was already nice and comfy at home....hence the lack of make up and funny hair...
And yes, I know I went 10 whole weeks without taking a picture. I had sworn off having my photo taken for a while.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqcLR3Z_yjkNnv-OxKZh8aVAnbGTQFlRX_zLLdYRpk4bWTeZLkt5Xtu43U8OwOPbxmlQ7U8Z8Gg0r8sxdpSh_fjDfmy5Il300dR65ksPYofCuVnOLh53FdOWq7NbVjYkLS4a9UxAQTBzkv/s200/15weeks2days.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286025402238939010" />

15 weeks 3 days

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqqCxWhp8fcyo8JxdHFvbnQLYU9BJ3h1uHXS_Vj9LcK2V35K6JEftUYwx_pqJk-eID_her4nR6wa1WRZ-VWPQKH8YrlX4VZDegc5S7mi1UVBPV1XopyAp2M7-xAWwzOtAsuOodu6bCewAq/s200/18wks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286026603696461954" />

18 weeks

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7FHiF8spFvhrAHH8NtHCk-69uZ9EsFV5GefCBrHQyI0DDjM9JJ_aQeDF-Jlh_QGDsZt1Ttdnc2B-GeBOaf84vkjRZeZbdTCE3JsTI89SF5mrRhHAiu5Ps_L0If4kOpM8358AlOqqyazWW/s200/22Wks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286027114357807362" />

22 weeks

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEQr97QDHIK12BLlnzuZMt0HM9Ed66Rvb5f_T2ZE5KIbZGzSOUkSvGqQDPt6613Wa7F9Yu54wMkLZYvpzt4vRpRIsz8gclVpFY4DLN2MESXPOK_vqjArztmCeqWwEUZGGD9udc3dwL4fcx/s200/32+weeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286027757430730994" />

32 weeks

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXxS3qPxW2244yL3JNu32_2sP7BLkm4qZGeN89ZWXroV1T-NJvZ6C9wTIVV_1TTegyjNoxAZHQEbt6XE_3JTjQKtGe7c2hJCP1TOk84IU0ROgJTDnZrApIvA-m010pBoHmKID8r58oBeh6/s200/36.5+weeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286027993184439458" />

36 weeks 3 daysAlysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-25933350855753940862008-12-23T06:49:00.000-08:002008-12-23T08:24:19.010-08:005 Weeks and Counting!Since my last post I have done quite a bit of work! I met with the last 2 pediatricians on my list, and have decided that I will go with the first one I met with. It was a hard decision because I REALLY like all 3 of them. When it came down to it, we had to go with the Dr that would follow the vaccination schedule that we prefer. An added benefit is that she happens to be the closest Dr to us.
Also, I have finished all but one load of baby laundry (thanks Mom and Abi for your help) and we have the nursery ready to go. Eron's mom bought our mattress for us..THANK YOU, Sunni, so now all we need is the baby to complete the room.

At my prenatal check up yesterday the sono tech said that Baby Linn has reached 8 pounds. I find this hard to believe, but that is what she told me. I know that these technicians can be off by up to a pound or pound and a half either way, but I still have 5 weeks for this baby to grow. Even if she is off, that is still big. The Dr looked at me yesterday and said, "I think we can get you at less than 12." 12.....12 POUNDS!!!! I hope that he was kidding. I am not sure though. I wish someone had been there to see the look on my face. I will love this baby regardless, but I have to admit I am a little afraid of delivery.
Also, the sono tech showed me that the baby has lots of hair. Yay!!! That makes me happy for some reason. I think babies that have hair are hilarious. I don't really know why. Maybe because it just doesn't seem to fit that a baby would have hair...
That is pretty much all for now on the baby updates.

I did want to let everyone know that we had to put my sweet kitty, Chico to sleep on Saturday. It was terribly sad and I have been so sad about it that I have not told anyone except my mom, dad, and sister. It is too hard for me to talk about. I miss him and look for him all the time still, but I know that he is not suffering anymore, and that makes me feel a little bit better. I added another picture of him that was taken before he got sick.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnW9Y_M1XfLYiIWxkB8wrsN1zgPK7TSLmFTUpz_LxeLGWrUo680Av-JdnlB7ufoYLC5tJUswa8Uo20MBp2T65KW1rOHLL5hFrLJynYsSw0o88Zg7IIW5scI8V3J88jITM0oPSXoDSYgj0E/s200/Chico.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5283020306002750482" />

I probably won't post again before Christmas, so I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-79489632840777795352008-12-10T06:45:00.000-08:002008-12-10T07:07:54.467-08:00Baby L UpdatesWell, yesterday I interviewed with the first pediatricain on my list of 3. I was not so sure if I would like her at first, but after meeting with her, she is GREAT! She was fine with the vaccination schedule we would like to follow (which is pretty hard to come by) and she has no problems with whatever sleep/feed schedule works best for mom and baby (as long as baby is healthy, of course). There were many other things I liked about her, but these two factors were key. I will still interview the other two and make a final decision next week.

After the pediatricain interview, I went for my prenatal appointment. Baby L is at an estimated 6 pounds, 7 ounces!!! And we still have 6 and a half weeks to go. Even though my Dr is not yet ready to talk to me about inducing early (I had to see his associate yesterday, my Dr. is in the Holy Land), the sonogram tech in his office said he will likely want to induce mid January. Until yesterday I have been hoping that I will just go into labor naturally, but the prospect of delivering a 10 pound baby has me re-thinking things a bit. I think I would be fine being induced early. According to the sonogram report, (I can't remember the technical name)Baby L is an 8 out of 8 on the scale of health, so great news!!!

I mestioned that my Dr. is out of the office on a trip. Let me just say that I have known for quite some time how lucky I am to have found such a great Dr, but yesterday really proved it! He is thorough, takes time with his patients, sensitive to questions and concerns, and NEVER makes you feel like he is in a huge hurry to his next appointment, even if you know he is in the middle of delivering 3 babies and running back and forth from the hospital to his office. Also, anytime I mention to people in the medical community who my Dr. is, they go on and on about how great he is. Good sign. So yesterday, meeting with his associate was just different. Even the nurse staff seemed aloof and like I was just a number. Not to say the sub Dr was not nice, and I do think he is a good Dr, he just did not seem to take an interest in the 2 things I wanted to ask him about, or in making sure I was comfortable with everything. My Dr always asks what questions I have. This one did not. I had to tell him that I needed to ask him somehting. I think he spent a total of 5-7 minutes with me. And maybe this is the standard for most Drs, but definitly not mine! Anyway, I try no to take for granted that I am sooooo fortunate to have the Dr. that I have! I am glad he will be back and I will get to see him next week.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-74525112178431657652008-12-08T11:31:00.000-08:002008-12-08T13:08:02.707-08:00LossSince a young child I have dealt with the loss of loved ones, which is something that many people do not experience until they are older.
It seems that no matter who it is or when it happens, though, it is the most difficult thing in the world to deal with.
This week I am dealing with loss on two different scales. The first is the loss of my best friends mother. Her mom got sick very suddenly last week, and went into ICU. One week and one day later, she passed away. She was only 55. I feel awful for my friend. I cannot imagine going through this time in my life without my mother. My friend has a one year old baby, and I cannot even think of how I would feel without my mom there to see my baby and be a part of my kids lives. Plus, I feel awful that I am to the point in my pregnancy that I am no longer allowed to travel, so I cannot go to Houston for the funeral. My mom and sister are going, so that makes me feel a little better.
The second loss I am dealing with is my precious kitty, Chico. He has a RARE cancer and I think we are finally to the point that he is no longer comfortable, and we have to put him to sleep.
He is only 8 and most cats live to be anywhere from 16-20 years old. Chico is the first pet I have ever had that is just mine. Not a family pet, but my own pet. I am so attached to him. I have already cried my eyes out over this kitty several times. He is my little buddy, and I cannot bear the thought of how I will be when he is no longer with me. I am so used to looking for him when I get home and cuddling with him and making him purr. His absence from my life will probably become reality before Friday. I am attaching a picture of my Sweet Chico.

On a more positive note (sorry this post has been such a bummer), I have another prenatal check-up tomorrow, so I will get to see my sweet baby on the sonogram again! I love seeing that sweet face, and even hearing about how large Baby L is. I will post an update after the appointment.
Please pray for my friend and for me as we deal with our losses.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUFZG_BgDUZP9F4t1klRuABX1qgxSmZKnkgw2vfNKZR1U1gDUQsSK2bKnwdcpakQ2qsDx1KKLt9SI__dUN9PVOEPEZ2VvlMpYxfN6T0TGfqaPRonNOIRX4NsW0tFVWLGbdRipXTH9N8uH7/s200/Sweet+Kitty.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277528882454546114" />Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3936915287735298467.post-45729647218674104632008-12-03T14:07:00.000-08:002008-12-05T09:20:08.940-08:00Finally.....<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3DKSchAyamd6RiIVKEz3zNwhMsZAPuJZtOYGa7G_oWp5CXfFzGi2ZrLZBQzwVplht1r3tA-H3gsdO6oi4JeKKh3wUQAivt1tV8_NaSSzBHjxQkBPfWlOtDxIeFo3x8CspA4m5zzCeij9e/s200/Chubby+Cheeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275698548016106450" />
So after reading SO MANY of my friends blogs on a regular basis, I have finally decided to start one of my own.

This is only a trial run, so I may end up never positing again!!!

I thought this might be a good way to let my family and friends from out of town keep up with us regularly!

Eron and I are expecting our first baby on January 24, 2009. I am 32.5 weeks pregnant, and the baby is HUGE!!!!
I am now required to get a sonogram every time I go to the Dr. (which is now once a week) to make sure that there is enough fluid for the baby to keep it healthy and nourished. I am on track to have a 9.5 to 10 pound baby!!! The Dr. says the baby is totally healthy, just LARGE.

We have decided to be surprised about the gender of the baby, so I will refer to him/her as Baby L until D Day...

I have included a picture of the sonogram we had at 28 weeks. Check out those Chubby Cheeks. I am already in love.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03997115771132183459noreply@blogger.com3
